After reading an issue of Rangefinder, someone won a prize for their lower Antelope Canyon picture, and it inspired me to go back and play around with some previously discarded images from my trip there. I think I found a couple gems. I'm SOOOOO ready to get back there this spring!!!

I know this one is a little dark in some spots, but I think I like the contrast. What do you think?

Opposite here, I'm trying to control the highlights, but I like the transitions of the color tones.

This one was challenging, because I had some nasty lens flare. I'm not sure I really got rid of it... maybe I'll come back to this.

My choice is number one by a lot. They are all very nice rocks.

Thanks. These rocks were a tough bunch.

number one is such of a powerful image because you have the highlights just perfect and the shadow areas still have great detail... thats the exact type of contrast that you want to capture with a slot canyon but can always be very difficult to obtain.

I'm tempted. . .seriously. I've been threatening to "leave" my family for a roadtrip/photowalk for some time. ;-)
