Yesterday we decided, late in the afternoon, to head to Elephant Rocks Park. We made it there about an hour before sunset. Well worth the drive even with the little time we had to take in the park. We'll be going back again soon!

One of my pics from our visit:

Terrific sunset! The colors here are always a bit challenging for me. It looks like you were pretty close to nailing them.

Thank you, Bill!

Yep. . .I noticed the color challenge right away. On the sun side the color is more red. On the shade side the color is more purple. The colors shift from every angle as well. What a great spot!

Great job with this one. Not a fan of the HDR-ish processing, but it does help the details come out.

As an exercise I processed this image using an HDR method and one processing the RAW file myself. The result was two images that looked nearly identical. The processed RAW file was just a bit sharper than the HDR process. I thought that was interesting.

I think HDR processing has its place. But, there is a fine line and it can become blurred as you work on an image.

LOVE IT! This shot brings back Memories, one of our last family vacations when i was a kid was the elephant rocks. I would love to take my girl there, but they need to be a little bit older because i am not carrying them around Ha.
Great Image Aaron!
