Alrighty guys, I decided to take some advice I recieved from here, and use my money for a trip, and bring along my gear of course. But I feel I will be going a little underprepared. This is my trip itinerary:
Driving
Leaving Northern Minnesota going straight south->
Arriving in Waco TX, visiting family->
Going further south to the coast, most likely Galviston TX->
Going West through New Mexico, to Arizona, hitting the Grand Canyon->
Going West, hitting Las Vegas, Nevada, and maybe the Hoover Dam->
Dropping Brother off in Nevada->
Heading North East, hitting Yellow Stone National Park->
Still North East, Mount Rushmore->
And then Finally Home, back in MN.
This trip might be extended if funds are increased.
This is my Gear
Nikon D7000, Gripped, tons of Batteries
Nikon 35mm 1.8 (for sure bringing)
a very soft Nikon 50mm 1.8D (iffy)
Nikon AF-S Micro 105mm VR (For Sure Bringing)
Nikon 70-300 VR (iffy)
Nikon SB-700 (for Sure)
Tripod (for Sure)
I have about $300 extra cash. I am thinking of getting a Tokina 12-24 f4 (seen a couple go for my budget), a Rokinon/ Samyang 14mm f2.8, or just replacing my 50 D with a 50mm 1.4 or 1.8 AF-S. What would be the best thing to do for this trip? What woud be an option I am not thinking of?
Looking forward to your feedback.
